Welding is an essential process for a mechanical engineering business that aims to offer complete solutions. Viru RMT’s skilled and qualified welders as well as several automated welders are proficient in most welding methods. All our welding operators are qualified to EN-287.

We work with carbon steel, stainless-steel, HARDOX, WELDOX and various wall thicknesses. Our welding capabilities include TIG, MIG/MAG, SF, MMA (manually, semi-automatic and automated) welding. Our welding department is able to cater for all requirements made, from the most basic of products to other tasks that demand more specialised expertise, for example, as in licence welding. Company has generated a large welding portfolio of WPS’s and PQR’s.

Our welding is always inspected according to established routines, and where necessary we carry out non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify quality. We perform NDT inspections: dye-penetrant, magnetic-particle and ultrasonic testing.

Our products are manufactured under ISO 9001:2008 control and assurance quality system. Viru RMT has EN 729-2 Certificate. Total tolerances for manufacturing: FA 177, ISO 2768, EN ISO 13920, EN ISO 9013, welding according to EN 25817, classification C.

Eesti Tehnokontrollikeskuse OÜ has approved the company for operating in its principal areas of activity, and its personnel have been certified as qualified.
